Read on to see the ultimate list of Christmas yoga gift ideas, (suitable for any budget!) that for sure will make your yogi happy!
Christmas Stocking Stuffers
Affirmation Cards
A deck of cards with positive quotes is such an easy way to cultivate mindful moments anytime and anywhere. Each card invites you to look within and encourages you to take control of your thoughts.
It’s a powerful gift that’s also small, simple, and sweet.
Yoga Cards/Dice
Perfect to spark creativity when coming up with new sequences, or, for the newbies, helpful to learn all the asanas.
There are many different types of yoga cards, but here are some I found that would be cool for a yogi who’s also part of the corporate world – Desk Yoga Deck.
If yoga cards don’t sound appealing, you can get yoga dice – the same idea, just in the form of a die. This set in a wooden box would be perfect as a gift.
Yoga Book
You can (almost) never go wrong with a book, right?!
There are countless options out there that can inspire and deepen one’s understanding of yoga. Depending on your yogi’s interests you can find books on yoga philosophy, anatomy, meditation… As long as you look for books written by renowned yoga teachers and gurus, you’ll be okay.
And if you’re overwhelmed by the choices, then you can’t go wrong with one of the classics: The Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Patanjali, Light on Yoga by B.K.S.Iyengar, The Yamas and Niyamas by Deborah Adele. Maybe try to find some special edition with a beautiful hardcover and you’re all set. 😉
Journal
Yoga encourages journaling as a method to improve one’s focus on the present moment. It’s a simple yet effective way to pursue Dharana (the 6th of Patanjali’s 8 limbs of yoga, meaning concentration or collection of the mind) in daily life.
You can simply get a beautiful quality hardcover notebook, or opt for a specific journal, like the one I use – The Five Minute Journal.
Yoga Strap
Yoga straps will be perfect for the yogi who’s trying to advance in their asana practice. Achieving and maintaining proper alignment is crucial in asanas, so this will be a great prop for any yogi who’s not quite there just yet.
This is the one I have – Lululemon yoga Strap – it’s strong and comfortable, tho bear in mind, some people might need a longer one.
Mala Necklace
Mala necklaces are a type of necklace traditionally made with 108 beads (a number with significant meaning). They are rooted in Hinduism and Buddhism, designed to focus the mind during meditation.
This necklace helps its wearer to overcome fear, reach a goal, find comfort or support on whatever journey they are on. A beautiful example is this one Lotuscraft Sandalwood Mala.
Yoga Socks
With the colder temperatures out there, this just might be the most practical gift!
Even though in yoga you want to feel as connected to the earth as possible, you still need to be reasonable, right?
Wearing socks designed for yoga will help the toes stay toasty and provide enough grip for stability.

Jewelry
If the yogi in your life is a female, you can’t go wrong with yoga-themed jewelry. Look for symbols like the lotus flower, Hamsa, the Tree of life or the different Chakras. Also gemstone and crystal jewelry is a great option, tho be sure to choose carefully, as it is believed that they have energetic and healing powers that are appropriate, or not, for different people.
Eye Pillow
Such a small, but very considerate gift! Eye pillows, especially ones infused with calming natural scent like lavender or chamomile, can reduce eye fatigue, headaches and muscle tension helping to find inner calm. Perfect for the yogi who really likes Savasana! 😉
Here’s one example – Lavender eye pillow, you can find many different options out there, just pay attention to the materials it’s made of.
Gift Card/Subscription
This one is the least favourite of mine, since it doesn’t really show effort… But, hey, it’s still better than nothing! 😉
Simply choose a brand or store you know your yogi loves, and get them a gift card, so they can use it however they please.
Or, if your yogi is more of an at home practitioner, you can get them a subscription for an online yoga studio or platform, like AloMoves.
p.s if your person still needs help actually starting their at-home yoga journey, you can find some guidance here.

Apparel
After a gift card, apparel is my least favourite thing to suggest, simply because I am sure that everyone has enough clothing. Even more so, yogis should practice Aparigraha or non-attachment, especially material possessions (technically this applies to all the things on the list, but in our society I feel like clothing is the most apparent).
If you still choose to get your yogi apparel, you may look at brands like Manduka, Alo, Mandala, Aim’n, Oysho.
Acupressure Set
Acupressure is an ancient Chinese therapy, which, unlike acupuncture, doesn’t puncture the skin, making it a non-invasive manual tool. It’s used to massage the acupoints on the body providing many benefits – pain relief, endorphin release, lower high blood pressure, improve sleep, increase flow of energy or Prana. If any of these sound like something your yogi is in need, then this is your perfect gift.
Tibetan Singing Bowl Set
These bowls are a special type of bowls that vibrate and produce a rich, deep tone. They are used in the so called, sound healing therapy, which uses the vibrations to promote relaxation and inner harmony. So, if you want to further improve the relaxation methods of your yogi, get them a Tibetian Singing Bowl set, like this one.
Equipment/Props
Yoga Mat
This is the most essential part of yoga asana practice. A good yoga mat offers great grip, cushioning and durability. Opinions on what kind of mat a yogi should use are divided, but as long as it serves the practitioner well, I don’t see a reason to be judgemental. Therefore choose cork, natural rubber, cotton, or whichever mat you think suits your yogi.
My Lululemon mat has been serving me perfectly for more than 2 years of daily practice, so I warmly recommend it. Also a few months ago I got a Manduka mat, which is different, but also a great option.
Yoga Knee Pad
For anyone with extra sensitive knees, or an inversions enthusiast, a yoga knee pad, will be a perfect addition.
There are many affordable, cute designs and options available, or I can also suggest the one I have.
Yoga Blocks
Yoga blocks were true saviours in my yoga practice. Instead of constantly rushing to find appropriate books for support, using the blocks was easy, fast and much safer. Thus, to make your yogi’s practice easier, get them a set of blocks.
Yoga Cushion/Bolster
Help your yogi get into a comfortable, relaxing state easier and faster with a soft, supportive surface i.e. cushion or bolster. Which one to choose? Cushions are usually smaller and round, mostly used to sit on and/or lift the hips higher during Pranayama or meditation, while bolsters are bigger, longer, cylindrical or rectangular shaped, mostly used to lay on. Therefore, I’d say the cushion is easier to travel with, while the bolster is more versatile. Ultimately, consider the needs of your yogi, then choose.
Yoga Wheel
A fun, versatile yoga prop, the yoga wheel is a hollow circular accessory, usually 13cm in diameter, and 1.6cm thick. It gives support when needed, but it can be used to build flexibility and strength too. It’ll be a great addition to someone who often has lower back pain.
The wheel I have has been serving me well and is very budget friendly. If you’re an avid Amazon shopper, then here’s a great option for you.
Lavish Christmas Gifts
Complete Yoga Kit
This would be perfect for somebody just starting out, but absolutely hooked on yoga. Somebody who knows that from now on, yoga will forever be part of their life. Or, someone that has been practicing for years, so much that their gear is starting to fall apart.
Simply, gather all the essentials for asana practice in one big gift – a yoga mat, mat bag, strap, blocks, and a yoga bolster.
Retreat
The gift of a transformative experience is a priceless treat! Nowadays there are many retreats available – just yoga, yoga and surfing or hiking, a retreat at some tropical destination or in the Alps, a weekend, a week or a few weeks long retreat… Plenty of choices, different price ranges, so, if you have a bigger budget, you can definitely find something appropriate.
Workshop/Continued Education Course
Unlike retreats, workshops and CE courses are focused mainly on education and teaching the participants something new. Note, if you’re looking for a CE Course, make sure that it can be counted towards Yoga Alliance credits (even if your yogi is not registered with YA, this still gives a little bit of reassurance about the quality of the course). If the course doesn’t state it explicitly, you can check eligibility here.
Cold Plunge Tub
Cold plunge means submerging the body in cold water. During this process the blod vessels in the skin contract, diverting the blood flow inwards, sending an increased supply of blood to the inner organs. Thus, this treatment is endorsed for healing and longevity.
Cold plunges can definitely be done in the shower or bath, but if you choose to really treat the yogi in your life for Christmas, you might get them a specific cold plunge tub. If you really want to splurge take a look at this one. Otherwise, here’s two more affordable ones, option 1 and option 2.
Conclusion
Choosing the perfect gift is not easy. A gift for a yogi, even more so.
But, that shouldn’t mean it has to be daunting! Hopefully this extensive gift list helped you choose a tailored gift to the yoga lover in your life, or at least gave you some new ideas.
Pair the suggestions in this gift guide with the needs of your yogi and I am sure you will have a great gift that will bring them joy throughout the whole year (or even many years to come!).
